International business accelerator program for Central Asia startups – Tech Central Asia 2019

Regional competition in Kyrgyzstan

The large-scale Tech Central Asia business accelerator program was organized by the US Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Nazarbayev University Research and Innovation System (NURIS) to empower entrepreneurs, students, innovators and inventors aiming to launch or develop their own startup projects to build a sustainable business in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

Regional competition in Kyrgyzstan was held for 3 months at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) and was implemented by the DevCIT team. As many local entrepreneurship support programs, the program included entrepreneurship training, guest lectures, mentorship, traction control and practical exercises. One of the main selection criteria for finalists was the proven business growth. As a result, 8 finalist teams had a chance to present their projects for the commission at the Regional Demo Day, where 3 finalists were selected to participate at the Final Demo Day in Astana.
