Acceleration program for agribusiness in the southern regions

Under the USAID Kyrgyz Agro Trade Activity Project implemented by Chemonics International in the Kyrgyz Republic

The business acceleration program “Agro aiym – agro jashtar 2” was organized to provide focused assistance (acceleration services) to enable women entrepreneurs  and young entrepreneurs to achieve business objectives more quickly than normal and get the opportunity to find investments to scale up their business.   As the result of the program:

• 40 entrepreneurs received introduction trainings about the business growth opportunities
• 25 entrepreneurs receive technical support and mentorship by experienced and professional trackers, which are Kyrgyz registered accelerator promotion professionals, within 2 months accelerator program, to scale up their businesses in agriculture
• 5 entrepreneurs receive funding to support and scale up their existing agribusiness

The total revenue growth of all participants was recorded as 183% during 2 months, the total amount of financial support provided for winners was more than $ 230 767.
